Certificates are available for persons who were born or died in Clay County.

Appropriate documentation, including picture ID must be presented with the completed application.

Genealogical Services:
Birth and Death Records for Clay County start in the year 1882.

Notice to genealogist:
1.      Complete one (1) application for each request
2.      All Birth and Death requests will be mailed.
3.      *Research will be limited to one (1) hour per visit

Emergency Preparedness:

Clay County Health Department is the primary coordinating agency for the Public Health and Medical Services Emergency Support Function #8 of the Clay County All Hazard Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan.   Developing processes to dispense medications to residents of the community within a short period of time; writing procedures for issuing orders of isolation and quarantine; providing education and promoting awareness for pandemic influenza and other public health emergency topics are some of the issues that are addressed in the planning process.
